My measurements bust 41.5 inches, hips 40 inches. I selected large in black. When I first unpacked the dress I thought it looked like a tent. After trying it on it actually fitted well across the bust and had a very nice flare and hang. It will be ideal for the winter months with either knee high or ankle shoe boots. I felt like a model ready for The catwalk. Just added a long chain to complete the look. I hope that it will wash well
